Helix TV Teaser: Ronald D. Moore Brings Disease To SyFy In January

The search for the notable new shows of 2014 will begin early in a few months, as SyFy looks to be the first network to attract some attention with their new science fiction offering, Helix.

From former Battlestar Galactica showrunner Ronald D. Moore, Helix tells the story of a group of CDC scientists who travel to a state-of-the-art research facility in the Arctic in order to study a new disease. But they soon find themselves fighting for their lives, as the disease is much more terrifying and life-threatening than they originally thought, and soon the truth behind the disease starts to unravel.

The show is set to premiere January 10th in the network, and while we've only seen cryptic teases for it before, SyFy has released a more substantial 45 second trailer, which shows us more of the plot and characters, led by Billy Campbell.
