The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 2 Gets An Official Name, New Trailer

One of the most highly anticipated games from the April 3DS Nintendo Direct was quite easily The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 2. Now, as we all know, that was an absolutely boring name, and while it served its purpose as a way of stating what the game was, it strayed from the series usual style of having a great subtitle to set the tone. Well, the new name is out and we're rocking a great new logo: The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. Sounds much better doesn't it?

The new trailer (found below) showcases a lot more gameplay than we were allowed to see during its initial reveal, and it looks as good as ever. There are many people who have been waiting a long time for the return of this kind of top-down, 2D Zelda experience, and as a major fan of the series, it looks like it could be a ton of fun. I won't bore you with all the details, as it's better to see for yourself.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is due later this year on 3DS.
